Active support for service-users to sustain/develop
networks of relations and friends

There will be emphasis on developing and maintaining clients’ relationships with their friends and relations, where it is assessed to be within their best interests.

Their Key Worker will discuss their needs with them. They will help client’s keep contact by:

• Helping them to write to or telephone others; • Where practicable, assisting in the arrangements for bed and breakfast for their visitors, should they require it; • Where practicable, taking them to visit others i.e. relatives, should they require such assistance;
• Helping them to arrange visits to others.
