Facilitated access to professional services in the community

All clients access community based professional services for example: clients would be registered with a G.P, dentist and optician of their choosing. Their Key Worker will help them arrange such contact and support them in any actions they may need to take in this regard.

Support from Visiting Health and Social Care Professionals

prOKare have arranged for client’s to access the services of visiting Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, Psychotherapists, Physiotherapists, Speech & Language Therapists and for them to visit to a neuropsychiatrist when required.

These are people who have specialist knowledge in the field of acquired brain injury. They do not replace those professionals who the client has a right to see under the NHS, but supplement their input. They also support the Rehabilitation Co-ordinator and the client’s Key Worker by providing guidance and advice. Some visit the home regularly others on demand through the client’s Key Worker.
